How to vote: Saturday 18 October

Dear Members,

A Vote of No Confidence in the President-Elect, George Abaraonye, will take place on Saturday 18 October, and all members can vote in person or by proxy.

Ballot Question: 

“Should George Abaraonye, President-Elect, be removed as an Officer of the Society?” 

Mark: YES or NO. 

In Person Voting:

When: Saturday 18th October, 10AM-8PM 

Where: Goodman Library, Oxford Union 

Bring: Union Card or Valid Photo ID (e.g. university card, passport, driving license) 

Proxy Voting (Deadline: 10PM 17 October): 

• Email: donovan.lock@oxford-union.org 
• Your name (and name at joining if different)
• Photo of Union card or valid ID + Date of Birth
• Whether you nominate a specific person as your proxy or request a Poll Official to cast your vote on your behalf
• (If you request a Poll Official to cast your vote) Your voting choice (YES/NO)

My name is [INSERT NAME], membership number [INSERT NUMBER]. My name at the time of joining the Society was [INSERT NAME]. I would like to request a proxy vote for the upcoming Motion of No Confidence this Saturday. Please find attached a photo of my Union membership card. Please may you arrange for a Poll Official to cast my vote on my behalf - I would like to vote YES/NO (delete as appropriate).

Alternatively, you may nominate a specific proxy by providing their name; in this case there is no need to include your voting choice. If you do not have your union membership card, attach a valid form of voter ID (e.g. Driving License/Passport) and Date Of Birth.
