Vjosa Osmani served as President of Kosovo from 2021 to 2026, only the second woman to hold the office. A lawyer and legal scholar with a doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh, she was previously the first woman to serve as Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo. She has been a prominent voice for Kosovo’s international recognition, its path towards Euro-Atlantic integration and the role of women in public life.
