Awarded the 2002 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, Daniel Kahneman is an Israeli-American psychologist and economist widely acclaimed for his work on the psychology of judgment and decision-making. With the Psychologist Amos Tversky, he established a cognitive basis for common human irrational decisions, and developed prospect theory. Professor emeritus of psychology and public affairs at Princeton University, he is the author of New York Times bestseller Thinking, Fast and Slow.
